You will be surprised to know but there is a species of rats, Who lives without drinking water. Its name is Kangaroo Rat. Let us tell you that this species is found in the desert of North America. Let us tell you that Kangaroo Rat lives in the desert. Despite that this animal does not drink water. Not only this, there is a huge amount of water in its body. Because of which other animals kill and eat it and quench their thirst. Its front legs are small, head is big and eyes are small. Its legs and tail resemble those of kangaroos, hence it is called kangaroo rat. Cats have similar sacs on the outside of their cheeks, just like kangaroos have. Even visually it looks like a small kangaroo. Not only this, like kangaroos, it is also expert in jumping. It crosses a distance of 6 meters in 1 second.
Water present in the body
Kangaroo rat lives in the desert. There is a large amount of water in its body. Because of which other animals kill and eat it. It mostly eats cactus plants, roots of trees growing in the desert and sometimes small insects. It is believed that their structure is such that they do not feel the need of water. A team of scientists did research on them and found that these rats survive on the metabolized water obtained from seeds.
